FBLook Frequently Asked Questions
Functionality
Does FBLook support proxy servers?
Yes, FBLook uses Internet Explorer proxy settings. So if you configure IE to go through a proxy server, FBLook
will pick up those settings.
If I start typing a new status message and Alt-Tab away from Outlook, the typed text disappears. Why?
Unfortunately, that is how this particular Outlook's control works. You will see the same behavior
in other places using this control, such as Outlook's standard "Find a contact" field.
Installation and Compatibility
What operating systems and Outlook versions are supported?
TechHit FBLook for Outlook runs on Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
It is compatible with Outlook 2003 and 2007.
FBLook does NOT work with Outlook Express.
I don't see FBLook Outlook toolbar after installing FBLook. Why?
Restart Outlook. Make sure you shutdown Outlook completely during the restart.
(Use the task manager to verify that Outlook is not running).
In Outlook 2007, if the above does not help, please open "Tools->Trust Center->Addins". If "Apply macro security settings to installed add-ins" is checked, uncheck it and restart Outlook.
