Do TechHit products work with the "New Outlook"?

When will TechHit products work with the "New Outlook"?

Unfortunately, we are not currently prepared to officially announce our plans for the "new Outlook" support. At the time of this writing, Microsoft is expected to continue to support the classic Outlook until at least 2029.

Can I run both New and Classic Outlook at the same time?

If you are looking to try some of the "New Outlook" features, you can run both versions of Outlook side-by-side.

  • Click the Windows Start button.
  • Type Outlook.
  • You will see options to launch both versions.

Tip: You can pin Outlook to the taskbar by right-clicking on its Taskbar icon.

If you would like to switch the default to the original desktop Outlook, untick the "New Outlook" toggle and restart Outlook.

If you do not see the option to run "Outlook (classic)", you will need to install it.

How to install classic Outlook

If you do not see the option to run classic Outlook on your Windows Start menu, you can install it by following the steps below:

  • Log in to Office.com
  • Click "Apps" in the lower left, then click "All apps".
  • Click "Install apps", then "Microsoft 365 apps".
  • Click "Install Office" under "Office apps & devices".
  • Click "Home" in the upper-left corner.
  • Download and run the Office installer.
  • Reboot your computer after installation is finished.
